Fine-tuning GPT-4 is necessary for this study because the existing GPT-3.5 model has not been specifically optimized for complex data analysis in machine tool accuracy inspection. Machine tool accuracy inspection involves large amounts of real-time sensor data, image data, and high-dimensional processing parameters. These data not only require powerful data processing capabilities but also a deep understanding of industrial equipment and machining processes. While GPT-3.5 excels in language processing, it may not be able to accurately recognize and analyze measurement errors when faced with such complex engineering data.
